06 About

A small company, and the owner is on the job.

Legacy4Builders is run by David Lopez Diaz. He does the estimate, he holds the licence, and he is on site while your job gets built — not just on the invoice at the end of it.

That is the whole pitch. A general building contractor small enough that you always know who is responsible, licensed and bonded so that responsibility means something, and 10 years of work behind the name on the licence.

  • Owner-operated by David Lopez Diaz
  • 10 years building in the South Bay
  • Licensed July 2026 · Class B General Building
  • Bonded $25,000 with Nationwide Mutual

03 Why us

A new company. Not a new builder.

Legacy4Builders was licensed in July 2026. The hands doing the work have been doing it for 10 years, and every photograph on this site is a job they built. Two different facts, and we would rather you had both.

  • 10 years on the tools

The company is new. The experience behind it is not — David has been building kitchens, baths, additions and hardscape in the South Bay for 10 years. The photographs on this site are that work.

  • Free estimates, no chasing

We come out, look at the job, and tell you what it costs. No charge for the visit, and nobody calls you every week afterward.

  • Licensed, bonded, and verifiable

CSLB #1158501, Class B general building, with a $25,000 contractor’s bond. The number is on this page so you can check it yourself before you call.

  • You deal with the owner

David quotes your job and David is on it while it’s built. The person who priced it is the person doing it.

  • One contractor, the whole job

Framing, tile, cabinets, stone, concrete, turf, and the electrical and plumbing coordination between them — all under one contract, so you are not managing four trades.

04 How it works

How a job runs.

Four steps, in order, so you know what happens next and when.

  1. 01

    Walk the job

We come to the house, look at what is actually there, and talk through what you want. Free, and usually within a couple of days of your call.

  2. 02

    Price and permits

You get a written scope and a fixed price, not a range. If the job needs permits or engineered plans, we file for them.

  3. 03

    Build

One crew, a written schedule, and the site cleared at the end of each day. You will know who is coming and when.

  4. 04

    Walkthrough

We walk the finished job with you, fix the punch list, and hand over the warranty, the permits and the paperwork.
